Why most accounts land here
Real scrap is rarely all one thing. A shop turns out offcuts and drops with the occasional heavy piece; a demolition job produces structural steel one week and light sheet the next. The 20 yard is the size that handles that mix without being wrong in either direction.
It is long enough to take pipe, conduit, and framing without cutting them down first, which saves labor that was never going to change what the metal is worth.
Loading and turnaround
Roughly about 22 ft long, 8 ft wide, 4 ft high, so the walls stay low enough to load over the side by hand as well as through the swing door at the end. Confirm the exact footprint with us when you book.
If your volume is steady we can work out a regular swap rather than waiting for a call each time, so a full container never becomes the thing holding up the work.

Usually not, if the job produces metal for more than a day or two. Call it through with us. If the material is heavy we will likely point you at a 10 yard instead, which reaches a legal load sooner.
Yes. We sort and grade at the yard. Keeping the obviously non-metal material out matters far more than separating one grade of steel from another.
As soon as we can get a truck to you. Accounts on a steady schedule get swapped on that schedule, which is the better arrangement if the container fills predictably.
